June is here and the Lake Forest Library’s Summer
Reading Programs have begun. There is something for
all ages.
Have Book-Will Travel is for children of all ages, through 6th
grade. Read for 2 hours and win a beach
ball; for 3 hours and get a flying disk.
Read for just 4 hours and earn a free book. Stop by the Children’s Department to
register. Events featuring puppets, balloons, magic, music, juggling and much more begin 6/10. Remember free tickets are required for each 2:00 p.m. event. Tickets become available at the Children’s
Circulation Desk at 1:00 p.m. on the day of the show. A large orange, foot-shaped sign will be placed on the
Library’s front door when all the tickets are gone.
The Teen Summer Reading Program 2013 is for students in
grades 7 through 12. Read or listen to 4
books and earn a $10 gift card to the Lake Forest Book Store. Enter a raffle ticket for every book you
read. The grand prize is a $100 gift card to the Book Store. Other prizes include gift cards to Einstein
Bros Bagels, Ferentino’s Pizzeria, Starbucks Coffee and Sweet’s Chocolates. More information is available in the Children's Department or at the upstairs Reference Desk.
Travel with A Good Read is our Adult Summer Reading Program. Read 4 books to received a USB drive. Prizes, which will be drawn weekly, include
Williams Sonoma gifts cards, Lake Forest Book Store gift cards, restaurant
gift cards, and a Chamber of Commerce gift card. The grand prize, an Apple gift card,
will be drawn in August. Click here for a schedule of prizes.
