Summer Reading Suggestions

What are you reading this summer? After a busy June, here's what we've found to be popular in Lake Forest.

Several spring books continue to have a wait list: The Girl on the Train by Paul Hawkins, All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr and The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.  Other continuing favorites include David McCullough's new book, The Wright Brothers and Erik Laron's recent release, Dead Wake: the Last Crossing of the Luisitania.

Many favorite authors have new books coming out this summer including Daniel Silva (The English Spy), John Sandford (Gathering Prey), Elin Hilderbrand (The Rumor) and Mary Kay Andrews (Beach Town).

Other "hot" summer releases include:   The Diver's Clothes Lie Empty by Vendela Vida, Eight Hundred Grapes by Laura Dave, Little Black Lies by Sharon Bolton, Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll, My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry by Fredrik Backman, Our Souls at Night by Kent Haruf, and Primates of Park Avenue by Wednesday Martin.

To check title availability go to our catalog.  If a book is checked out you can place a hold on it through the webite or call the Adult Reference Desk 847-810-4610.
